Charleston Carriage Tours

My wife and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary with a carriage ride. We had a wonderful time. This was our third time and we were blessed that each one was uniquely different. On every tour we have learned something new. Great Job!!

Bought a groupon the day before and had no trouble getting right on to a a carriage tour (10 minute wait) after just showing up. Both this company and the city seem to have a well run system for numerous carriage groups to co- exist and thrive. Our guide Jeff was great (he’s a high school social studies teacher). With a dry sense of humor, he was both a wealth of knowledge and comedic. His love for Charleston was obvious and relationship with his tour horse, Amigo made us feel like we were in good hands. It’s was a very hot day and our family was so happy we splurged for a carriage ride over the walking tour. Highly recommend.

The tour was splendid for sightseeing and the guide was knowledgeable but I had hoped to walk away with just a *little* more information. The photos were taken from the carriage.

Love the knowledge, history and heritage!!! Hate the heat and the smell!!! All in all, I'd do again!!

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Great tour, very glad we did it as it provided great historical info about Charleston that we never would have known if not for this tour.

A friend and I just returned from a weekend trip to Charleston. Neither of us had ever been on a carriage ride before so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. Our guide was Mackie and he was wonderful. Full of knowledge, as well as jokes, he made the tour very enjoyable. We would definitely recommend Carolina Polo & Carriage tours and look forward to returning in the future!

The tour was interesting since it is cool to ride in a carriage and learned interested facts.

We rode with our guide Mackie, and beautiful, giant Gibbs pulled our carriage. Our November tour was enjoyable and informative.

We went back in 2015 and our tour guide Tim was probably the best guide I've ever had on any tour. What a great time filled with fascinating stories and facts about Charleston and all told in an exciting and engaging way. Great tour!

Family and I visiting Charleston for the first time and wanted to see the sights in a fun way and found a Groupon for this carriage ride through historic downtown. Our guide was knowledgeable about the history of the area and funny, even though our horse kept randomly stopping, our guide was patient with said horse.

Amazing fun and a good value om groupon. Bought and 15 minutes later we had a nice hour trip through the city. Our tour guide was cool too

Our guide was great, and we were even impressed by the gentle way he spoke to the draft horse. Our only downside was being seated on a bench seat with some good sized folks--not a lot of room.
